The Lotus Tile design derived from the study of contemporary geometric design with nuances of biomimicry. Nelumbo nucifera, also known as the Indian Lotus, became an object of inspiration for its considerably feminine characteristics and layered form. The design focused on reinterpreting the flower into an interlocking system of individual tiles.
